HOSTING & DOMAIN · A CLEAR OVERVIEW

A professional website.
An address of your own.

A website gives customers one place to get to know your business, discover your services and contact you. Here is a clear overview of domains, hosting and setup, so you understand the parts of your website.

01 / DOMAIN

Your address.

The domain is the name customers enter in their browser to find your website. Choose an available name and register it with a domain provider.

For example, yourbusiness.com
02 / HOSTING

A home for your site.

Hosting stores and serves your website files so visitors can open your site online.

03 / WEBSITE

Your digital identity.

The website is the design, content and functionality customers experience. I bring your business together in a clear presentation.

Design · content · contact

Three parts.
One complete experience.

The domain points to your hosting. The browser retrieves the website content from there, allowing customers to discover your business and get in touch.

COSTS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Know what
you are paying for.

Website design, the domain and hosting are separate parts of the solution. You choose and arrange domain registration, domain connection and hosting directly with your providers. Their fees and renewals are paid separately from the website service.

Website & price ↗
Website
You pay me the agreed website price: a one-off $699 USD. You pay 100% after completion and approval, before the agreed files and guide are handed over. No advance payment is required.
Domain
You pay registration and renewals directly with the domain provider from the first year. The domain is registered in your name or your business name.
Hosting
You pay for the selected hosting solution. The price depends on the provider and service. You clarify both the initial and ongoing cost with your hosting provider.

SETUP & INSTALLATION

From a name online
to a complete website.

You or your chosen provider arrange the technical setup: domain registration, hosting, file upload and domain connection. Your agreed website files are supplied for handover.

  1. 01

    Choose your domain.

Find an available name, register it with your provider and keep your account details safe.

  2. 02

    Choose hosting.

You choose and set up hosting with a provider yourself. If you already have hosting, ask your provider whether it supports the website.

  3. 03

    Publish your website.

You or your hosting provider publish the website files. You or your provider are responsible for hosting setup and management.

  4. 04

    Connect the address.

Set the domain’s DNS records to the hosting provider’s instructions. This connects the name to the website.

  5. 05

    Prepare for visitors.

HTTPS provides an encrypted connection. We review the presentation and contact options before launch.

No app required.

You and your customers open the website directly in a browser on desktop, iPad or mobile. Visitors generally do not need to install anything. Setup takes place with your domain and hosting providers.

Already have a domain?

Keep your existing domain if it suits your business. Your domain and hosting providers can advise on connecting it to your hosting. You retain ownership and control of those accounts. Do not send passwords by email.
